Herbal prevention for Blackheads

Everyone suffers from the problem of blackhead. The main problem for blackhead is the hair follicles get clogged with dead skin and oil. It appears as tiny black bumps on nose, chin and forehead. The main causes for blackhead are:

Honey and Cinnamon:


Honey is an antibiotic which is combined with Cinnamon and draw out dust from pores. Cinnamon is used as a removal and prevention of blackheads.

How to apply: Take 1 tablespoon of honey with ½ teaspoon of cinnamon and mix well. Apply this mixture on your face; massage your face in a circular motion for 3 minutes and wash off with hot water. Try this 2 times in a week.

Green tea:


Green tea removes oil from the skin as well as helps to clear the pores.

How to apply: Take a teaspoon of dried green tea leaves powder and mix with water to make the paste. Apply this paste on your skin. After 5 minutes, wash off with water.



Lemon also helps to remove the oil from the skin and remove the blackheads and acne.

How to apply: Mix the lime juice with salt, with a tablespoon of honey, with a tablespoon of yogurt. Gently rub this mixture on the skin for 3 or 4 minutes and wash off with the hot water.

Baking Soda:

This is the best method for get free from blackheads fastly.

How to mix: Take 2 tablespoon of baking soda with water to make a paste. Gently rub this paste on the affected skin. Let it dry for some time and wash off with the warm water. Do this in every week atleast one or two times.


Take the toothpaste and apply it on the blackhead area. Stay for 20-3omintues and wash off with hot water. Keep away from eyes. Do this repeatedly until the blackheads are gone.



Tomato has the antiseptic properties to dry out the blackheads.

How to apply: Take a peeled tomato and smashed well. Apply this on your skin and leave it over a night and next morning wash your skin with hot water.



Cut the raw potato and apply it over the blackhead. Leave it for 10 or 15 minutes and wash thoroughly. Repeat this process daily till it cures.


Take a fresh coriander leaves and turmeric powder and mix well to make a paste. Apply this on the blackheads.

Aloe Vera:


Apply the Aloe Vera juice on the affected area. It heels the blackheads naturally.

Baking soda

An itch restricted to a small area can be managed with baking soda. All you need to do is to make a paste with add 1 part of water to three parts of baking soda; then apply this paste to the itchy area. However, don’t use this remedy if the skin is broken. If the itch is spread all over the body, add a cup of baking soda into a tub full of lukewarm water and soak in it for half an hour, then dry in air.


Tulsi leaves (Holy basil) are rich in thymol, eugenol and camphor and these have the ability to reduce irritation of the skin. Just wash a few leaves and rub them over the affected area. Another way is to prepare a tea by boiling a few leaves in water and dip a cotton ball or cloth into the tea and apply to the itchy skin.


Aloe vera

Aloe vera is one of the most effective skin soothing agents. It helps reduce the skin irritation and provides quick relief from itching by rub the gel over itchy spot.

Aloe contains strong anti-inflammatory component called B-sitosterol. Aloe is also full of vitamin E, which is wonderful for the skin. Aloe naturally contains anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. So it reduce redness, inflammation, itch and discomfort.

Apple cider vinegar

Many people use vinegar on the scalp for dandruff because it works well for itchy skin. It has a good antiseptic and antifungal action and this makes it a good anti-itching agent. It’s good for treating acne, and fight fungus on the skin that causes rashes. Dip a cotton ball or cloth in a little apple cider vinegar and drop on the itchy area.
